How Karma is Woven

1 min read · Scripture story

Every act plants a seed — sanchita (stored), prarabdha (ripening now), and kriyamana (being made). Together they weave what we call fate.

The sages describe karma in three currents. Sanchita is the vast reservoir of everything we have ever done across lifetimes. Prarabdha is the small share of that reservoir which has ripened and become the circumstances of this life — our body, family, opportunities, obstacles. Kriyamana is what we are creating right now, by every thought and act, to be tasted later. We cannot un-live the past, but the present is always in our hands.

The lesson

Fate is not a wall. It is a river we are still helping to shape with each choice.
