King Yayati's Borrowed Youth

A king takes his son's youth to keep chasing pleasure, and after a thousand years discovers desire is never full.

Cursed with old age, King Yayati begged one of his sons to exchange youth with him. His son Puru agreed. For a thousand years Yayati enjoyed every pleasure the world could give. At the end he said to his son: 'Desire is never satisfied by enjoyment; as fire fed with butter, it only grows.' He returned Puru's youth and walked into the forest, at last free.
